The Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre (BAMT) offers a range of full time courses for emerging artists who are interested in discovering their potential and developing their skills as a performer. 

 

Operating out of the state-of-the-art facilities at the Hayward Street Theatre complex in Brisbane, students will work alongside some of Australia’s best musical theatre professionals as well as guest artists and teachers from around the world.

 

BAMT's full time courses allow students to explore the integral skills required for success in the entertainment industry, to understand professional ethics and to prepare themselves for the rigorous physical and emotional demands of a career in the arts. It's intensive training and networking with some of the best and most prominent people in the business and a year of fantastic theatre experiences that broadens all knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry. 

 

BAMT provides students with a strong grounding in acting technique, voice, dance, as well as audition technique and the history of musical theatre. Our training is practical, flexible and personalized, unencumbered by copious amounts of book work, exams or assignments and focussed on experience based learning.

 

Past students have found their time at BAMT to be the perfect preparation for further studies at NIDA, WAAPA, QCGU or VCA, while others have used the training as a springboard into professional work straight away upon graduation, both with employment in Harvest Rain productions or other productions across the globe.
